Yes, This Mess is Canning Season

Jeesh!! What a mess! I've gone through this for the last 2 years and will probably do it every year after this. There is nothing like home made salsa or peaches. I've been waiting for the peaches to ripen and the tomatoes to turn red and I got just barely enough tomatoes from my plants to do salsa today. The big pots and pans are ruining my electric stove, so this year I'm cooking out in the garage on the camp chef. One bonus to this is my house doesn't smell for a week. Don't you wish you were here to taste this, or at least help me with the dishes!

Happy Aniversary (sort of)

Chris proposed to me 13 years ago today. We had a nice date planned and I was completely clueless! I remember the beautiful weather and Bridal Veil Falls. The tram wasn't running, but we walked along the river and found a bench to sit on. Chris popped the question, and I said I had to think about it for a few minutes! Poor Chris! I bet I gave him a heart attack. It doesn't seem so long ago.

My two little monkeys!! As school has started and summer is coming to an end, the boys are more attached to our swing set than ever. Steven is swinging across the bars so much that he has caluses on his hands. This is them the morning that school started. My kids are not the only ones who like this swing set. It draws all the neighbor kids out. That is a lot to be said about a swing set that belonged to my best friend when I was a kid and that I made my husband and father dig up and plant in my yard.
