Girl Bag vs. Woman Purse

I have been thinking about taking some pictures and posting about this for a week. But I've been too busy taking care of sick kids. How do you make the jump from a girl bag to a woman purse? My neices have made the jump before I have. My sisters laugh at my grungy taste. I like carying a bag. My bag can't be too small or too big. It can't be too stiff or have straps that are slippery. It has to have a pocket for my keys. But I got a woman purse for Christmas and I am having a hard time adusting. Maybe it is because I still think that I am 23. I think it is cute. If I put enough stuff in it to fill it up it would be to heavy to carry. My few things don't fill it up and I still have to dig around in it to find anything.

I have started the painful process of cleaning out my closet. Since the robbery everything in there has been helter skelter. Looking in there brings back painful thoughts of the things that are missing. Maybe that is why I didn't notice that our suitcases were missing for 2 months! I did clean out my "purse" collection. Now I only have 7 instead of 13. Bags I haven't used since the boys were babies. Ones I found on clearance that ended up not working too well. Those ones are going bye bye. Well, that is unless I change my mind and pull them out of the donation bag before it goes to the DI. Next up: Shoes!

I just barely got a "purse" but it is still bag looking. Dave got it in China....I should have him pick you up one next time he goes. My friend who is a river guide usually always gets me a new bag and I call it a purse but you can guess w/her being a river girl that it is not very girly either. I say embrace your inner grunge. Purses are for mary poppins

I converted to 'purse' with Morgan. Only because I hate the thought of carrying a diaiper bag and my purse. But my new one is big enough for my stuff plus a few diapers and small wipes(just for quick errands, or unless I just don't want the extra bulk).

I got a "back pack" purse. It's perfect! I can put it on my back while I shop. Unfortunately, the straps broke, I was so sad! Then Jared apoxyed it back together. We'll see how long the glue lasts!

I say stick with the girl purse :-) I have tried out 3 different purses in the past few years, but my favorite is still the tiny hand bag that I could barely fit my phone and keys in. A checker at the grocery store actually made fun of how small it was once . . . but at least I never lost anything in it!
At the moment my purse is a black diaper bag.
