Title: Spaghetti Sauce
Description:This is Paula's recipe but I added the cornstarch to make it thick and stick to the noodles like bottled sauce.
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion
1 large pepper (optional)
2 cloves garlic (can use powder)
1 qt. tomatoes
2 small cans tomato sauce
1 1/2 t. oregano
2 t. brown sugar
1 1/2 t. chili powder
1 t. salt
1/2 t. basil
1 bay leaf (remember to take this out - Steven always gets ours!)
1 heaping T. cornstarch mixed with a bit of cold water
Directions:Brown the hamburger and onion. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for about 1 hour. Serve with cooked spaghetti noodles.
Please try and enjoy!
