Does anyone else have wimpy kids? Ours seem to whine and cry about everything. We have been having a "staycation". We really wanted to fly somewhere before school started, but flights didn't look good for coming home. We didn't want Steven to miss his first day at school. So we stayed home and went to Lagoon and the Monster Truck show.
Lagoon made it's money on us. The boys wouldn't ride anything bigger than the Turn of the Century swings. I took Isaac on the Tital Wave - Steven chickened out as soon as he saw it start up. We had to lie to them about the log flume. In the end they liked it. They loved the Sky Coaster and the Paratroopers. The Tilt a Whirl just about did Steven in. Steven was crying for at least 3 hours that day. Chris got so bugged he was ready to leave at 7:30. But I am stubborn and we stayed to the end of the night to ride the Merry Go Round, the Flying Aces and the Swings one more time. They were fine sitting in the stands for the monster trucks. If you hear them talking about grave digger - just know it is their favorite truck.
Chris and I don't remember crying when our parents were trying to show us a good time. Why does the word "Fun" make my boys cry? Is my idea of fun too wild? We had a lot of crying at Disneyland too. I guess they are just spectators.

I have a wimpy husband! My girls are more brave then he is.
Boys just have to get all the crying out while they are little since its not "socially acceptable" for them to cry about anything when they get big. Next time just take your husband and leave the boys with a sitter. Good for you on making them stay til the end though, Im a die hard myself.
I know how that goes, my boys are pretty whimpy. Hunter has changed his whimpy ways though. So just give them a few years.
