Chris asked me last night why I never blog about his bug. He blogs about his bug enough for both of us, but I usually use my blog to complain about being pregnant!
I finally relented and let Chris have a project. His last one didn't turn out too well. Cost us a couple hundred dollars, hogged our garage for 2 years and ended up at the dump. Chris' bug project has gone a little better. Costs us money every month, takes a bunch of time, but Chris is loving driving Herbie around and is saving us some gas money since it gets twice the milege of his truck.
Every couple of weeks we have to take an outing in the bug. Chris is in a internet bug club and they have a running picture contest. If he is the first one with a pic of a VW in front of say an abandoned building, he gets to choose what the next pic should be. Fun for all, we usually end up in downtown Magna.
Have you ever ridden in a lowered bug? Let's just say it's kind of bumpy. I am constantly scanning the road for the smallest bump so I can tense up for the jolt. At least he put the rubber bumpers back on the suspension so it isn't metal on metal - but it is still a jolt. I could handle this better in a non pregnant state. The boys think this is great until they get stuck in the seat belts or the front seats won't move forward so they can get out. I'm hoping for new seat belts soon.
I think it is funny how many people talk to Chris and reminisce about the bugs they once owned. My dad even had one for a while - he hated it. But most people remember the fun they had while they drove a bug. So I'm hoping we can look back and remember the fun times in our bug, even if we won't all fit in it come October.

I like that shot in front of the old theater but then again I liked all the shots. Everything is great after looking at my photo taking non-skills. All men need a hobby and it looks like this is a good one. Just think he can take all the kids and you can stay home....alone....yeah for alone!!!
We have a large project that is taking up half our garage and that I'm praying will go to the dump....soooon!!!!
Love those pictures! They're great!
Very great pictures. Sorry it has been a while. So I had alot of catching up to do. So congrats on the baby being a girl. Let me know if you need anything. So fun to have somthing like the bug, for your men to spend time together.
Take Care, Mel
Hey I just had to tell you really quick that you look just like the actress Rose Byrne. I just watched the Movie Adam tonight and she looked so much like you it was almost eerie.
